I recently went to the Black Sea to visit our kids from the orphanage... it was a rainy, cloudy and cold day, but it didn't keep us from having a good time and even getting our feet wet! It was a wonderful time to be with the kids outside of the orphanage; they were able to take a week long vacation at the sea through state funding. And for me, a California girl it felt a lot like the beaches I miss so much back home and was comforting to dip my feet in the waves. The beach has always been a calming and comforting place for me and God brought this trip just when I needed it most.

June so far....

It is only the middle of June and if feels like so much has happened. This has been a full month. Well it started with a visit to the girl's school.... I was their hair model for their final. I had a good time. Here is the final product....

There was the graduation/party at the orphanage for the kids.

We also had a hero party to celebrate our year learning about what it means to be a hero. The kids were able to dress in hero and princess costumes. It was a great day of fun.

This month has been emotionally hard for me due to some personal things that have recently happened back home. I have been blessed by friends and teams here and am taking every day one at a time. I know God's plan for me is so much bigger and better than I could have for myself.
